The White Pine Children’s Art Festival is a week-long festival for the children in White Pine County. This event will be held July 24-28th from 8:30 am – 12 pm with classes for children ages entering kindergarten through entering 8th grade. Classes will be offered in art, music, dance, theater, and writing.

Code of Conduct

We are grateful for each child who attends the White Pine Children’s Art Festival.  With that said, we expect that each child will be respectful to the teachers who have prepared for this festival. Children will listen and be respectful to teachers every day.  Attending this festival is a privilege.  Children who are rude, use inappropriate language or gestures or are disruptive to the class will be asked to leave and parents will be called to pick them up.  We have a zero tolerance policy and are not a babysitting service.  During the week if a child is sent home three times, they will be asked not to return.  No refunds will be given because children were misbehaving.

Allergies

We will serve a snack every day between our second and third class of the day.  We will not serve anything with peanuts but will serve dairy products, dried fruit, crackers, and granola bars.  Please plan to bring a snack for your child if they are allergic to any of the above items, and please let us know of any allergies your child may have.

Getting Dirty and Clothing

This is an art festival; children will be playing with paint etc. and can be expected to get dirty.  Please provide a painting shirt over clothing for the art classes.  Please label the shirt so that we may return it to you at the end of the festival or if it gets lost.  Please plan to send your child in clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.  Children in dance classes should wear comfortable clothes that they can move in, hip hop students should also wear tennis shoes. All other dance classes will not need specific shoes and most likely will dance barefoot.

Returned Checks

There will be a $30 fee for all returned checks.

Drop-off and Pick-up

Please plan to drop-off your children and sign them in every day, we will have a sign-in and information table in the lobby in the front of the high school.  You may enter the door near the parking lot. Children will receive a name tag that they will need to give us at the end of the day when they are leaving.  Also, parents or the person picking up your child will need to sign them out every day.  Children will not be allowed to wait at the curb for their parents.
